The music industry is an international business, a very personal business that is uniquely characterized by feelings and emotions…such as an enduring respect for tradition, a deep appreciation for creativity and a fervent dedication to innovation and education. In every respect, EMMC embodies these characteristics…and it starts with its dedication to craftsmanship, quality and value.
EMMC was founded in 1985 by Joseph and Mark Saltzman, father and son. Today, the family tradition continues through the dedication and leadership of Mark's son, Jeffrey Saltzman, President, and EMMC Executive Vice President Jim Eaton.
As the music industry changed and the company grew, EMMC focused on its strengths in string, woodwind and brass instruments and their related accessories... eliminating combo related instruments.
Over the years, EMMC developed strong business alliances in both Europe and Asia. This lead to the acquisition of a factory in Europe, dedicated to manufacturing string instruments which enabled EMMC to develop its own products. EMMC also sourced and located the best possible woodwind and brass products in Asia from manufacturers who best typify the company's policy of supplying high-fundamental, quality instruments at top value.
Today, the company is headquartered in Deer Park (Long Island), New York, with facilities in Reghin and Bucharest, Romania, and Algonquin (Chicago), Illinois. EMMC dedicates itself to delivering a heightened-level of customer satisfaction and dealer service.
